What it does
Keep the creative scale of the model while automating the repetitive cutting, connector, routing, and plate-layout work.
Set a final height, width, depth, longest side, or scale factor using millimetres, centimetres, inches, or feet.
Select printers with different build volumes, including custom sizes. Each finished piece is routed to the smallest selected bed it fits, reserving larger beds for pieces that need them.
Add press-fit or glue-fit pegs, recessed matching codes, tiny-piece avoidance, and optional hollowing before export.
Inspect the exploded assembly, then generate 3MF projects with pieces already oriented and arranged across print plates.
Slicer compatibility
Scale & Cut 3D uses Bambu/Orca project metadata to retain automatic plate assignments. Some slicers can open the model geometry without preserving those plates.

Compatible forks such as QIDI Studio and ElegooSlicer open the generated plate projects. Select profiles appropriate for your printer before slicing.
Can recover the model pieces, but does not retain Bambu/Orca plate organization or project settings.
May import model geometry, but the automatic plate layout is not supported.
*Orca-based slicers share the Bambu/Orca project structure. Very old versions may need updating before they can read projects created by newer releases.

OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio, and Orca-based slicers such as QIDI Studio and ElegooSlicer can open the plated projects. Select printer, material, and process profiles appropriate for your machine before slicing. PrusaSlicer and Cura can import geometry but do not preserve the automatic Bambu/Orca plate organization.
Yes. Select multiple printer models or add a custom bed size. Scale & Cut 3D plans the cuts around the largest selected build volume, then routes each resulting piece to the smallest selected printer it fits. Large-only pieces remain assigned to the larger bed. Current routing prioritizes fit and does not yet balance equal workloads across every printer.
STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY, and OFF files are supported.
Yes. One purchase includes both downloads and activation on up to two computers. The Mac build currently requires Apple silicon.
